Tourist Visa
Valid passport with at least six months of validity with at least one blank page for visa (amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa).
Two (2) recently taken professional passport-type photographs. Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

confirmation letter from the tour operator (Package Tour only) or

Business Visa

Company business letter (sample) is required – The letter must explain all of the following: Nature of business to be performed; Name and address of reference to be visited; This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required; Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit; The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
- Applicants must provide a Letter of Invitation on company letterhead from your Host Company in Myanmar that has been registered according to Myanmar Investment Commission / Ministries concerned, or a Letter of Invitation from the Government of Myanmar. A Letter from Host Company should explain the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel, the letter must include length of stay, place of stay and host’s contact information.
- The copy of valid inviting company’s registration.
First time applicants can only apply for Single Entry Visas. Applicants who would like to apply for a multiple entry visa can do so if they can show evidence of a prior single entry visa to Myanmar.

Diplomatic Visa

Letter from the Organization (Department of State, International Organization, Embassy).

Religious visa/ Meditation Visa
Valid passport with at least six months of validity with at least one blank page for visa (amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa).
One (1) completed and signed Religious Visa application form and Work History Form.
Two (2) recently taken professional passport-type photographs. Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

Letter addressed to the Ambassador. Letter addressed to the Ambassador (Undertaking letter : Make mention of not to perform other than religious matters )
Sponsorship Letter from the Myanmar Meditation Centre/ Monastery/ Venerable Sayadaw in Myanmar. Sponsor letter should be original included with registration number and issue date. Photo copy is not accepted.
Copy of air ticket/ itinerary.

Employment Visa
Valid passport with at least six months of validity with at least one blank page for visa (amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa).
One completed and signed Visa Application Form and Work History Form.

- An invitation letter and an appointment letter from Myanmar Company with a copy of its valid registration certificate from Myanmar Investment Commission/Ministries concerned.
- The copy of valid inviting company’s registration – Labour Registration Certificates issued by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Welfare.
- The copy of the receipts certifying payment of taxes imposed.

NGO/INGO Visa
Passport holder who work in International Organization., INGOs, and NGOs and whose purpose of the visit is either under consultant contract with Myanmar Government or registered UNOs or INGOs or NGOs in Myanmar can apply Official NGO Visa.
Valid passport with at least six months of validity with at least one blank page for visa (amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa).
One completed and signed Visa Application Form and Work History Form.
Two (2) recently taken professional passport-type photographs. Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

US Organization request letter (sample) – The letter must explain all of the following: Nature of business to be performed; Name and address of reference to be visited; This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required; Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit; The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
- Applicants must provide a Letter of Invitation on company letterhead from your Host Company in Myanmar that has been registered according to Myanmar Association Registration Law.
- The copy of valid registration of Organization from Myanmar.

Application of Multiple Journey Entry Official Visa is considered and issued on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Visa Officer. Those who want to apply Multiple Journey Entry Official Visa need to submit the personal letter and details program.
Non-US passport – need to provide Green Card copy or Document showing legal status in the U.S.
