Tourist Visa
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport – It must be valid for at least 18 months with at least two blank visa pages back to back in your passport.
- Provide also a photocopy of your passport bio-page.
One (1) Visa Application Form completed and signed. Visa application MUST be Notarized.
One (1) recently taken professional passport-type photograph.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

- If tourism is the purpose of your visit, please state in detail the nature of your tour and places you intend to travel in Afghanistan.
- If visiting family or friends, please write a letter of introduction stating whom you intend to visit in Afghanistan.
If you have been issued a visa to Afghanistan prior to this application, you must include a copy of your most recent Afghan visa.
Please send a copy of your round-trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant’s name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information.
Complete the Compass Visa Order Form.
Business Visa

A business letter (click here for sample letter) from the sending company – the letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required and it must be in original form and must signed by an officer other than the applicant. The Embassy of Afghanistan will not accept a copy.
Copy of DOD-LOA (applicable to government military contractors)
If you have been issued a visa to Afghanistan prior to this application, you must include a copy of your most recent Afghan visa.
